One for working parents. After 5 weeks working alongside 3 little people, I'm trying to juggle schooling, a business and working full-time #Challenging Here are my tips but have in no way cracked this. Please share yours in the comments: 💪 Our day starts at 9am with the Joe Wicks workout. Exhausting but hilarious - especially fancy dress Friday. 🍏 They eat...a lot! So, to regulate the requests I give them a snack box to dip in during the day. It's often gone by 11 🙄 🕙 We spend 2 hours 'home learning' then the afternoon is theirs as none of us have patience for more than that. 📖 The BBC Bite Size lessons are AMAZING for short attention spans (e.g. mine). Thanks Jeremiah for the tip! 📱 Face-timing their friends keeps them connected to the outside world. 🚶♀️ Family fresh air every other day and squeeze my run in every other day in between. Keeps us all sane. 🚪 Office door shut? Mummy on a call. 🍸 Wednesday has become 'Little Saturday' for me - cheers! Have you any tips? #homeschooling #workingparents #workfromhome

Great tips, I love the snack box one. Can't believe how quickly the food goes! I think with everything we're going to have to be prepared to change things up as time goes on as I expect they'll tire of certain things and like the routine of others and emotions will be up and down. But we shall see! I think Bitesize is great too.

I'd add - shut the laptop down at the end of the working day and put the laptop away. That means less temptation to do 'one more piece of work.' I'm also rigid with my schedule and put in blocks of '5-10 mins' move about time to get away from a screen. All too easy to be in front of a screen all day.

Agree about BBC Bitesize - loving it, and more importantly my 11yo is too. Audio books have also been helpful for me, as a source of background noise & company when my youngest is drawing/playing on her own. The stories certainly extend the stretches of time she spends engaged on her own. They also give her something to do in the same room as me when she's had enough time on her own and needs to connect - she puts on her headphones and I can work (relatively) undistracted alongside her. If only they worked for the dog as well... #workingparents

All great tips Sarah. I think for me the only thing I would add is to be kind to ourselves. Home schooling, being a full time parent & working is a huge ask. So we're trying to focus on ensuring we stay healthy in mind & body through all this. The juggle is most definitely real!

Love the idea of 'Little Saturday!' Does that mean wine / beer on Zoom calls?!

Thank you for showing us the way, we too have our struggles and are coping. I agree with having a healthy fit body and mind is the core. All else flows from that. Love the fancy dress idea

We do a few of these too Sarah Goodall, they're good tips. One to add to the mix: We have a piece of wire, with laminated pictures of lesson types pegged on, so that our daughter can see (and contribute to) what's going to happen each day. Works a treat and sets a rhythm to the day. Quick question from me, what kind of contact time are you getting with your school. Specifically 1:1 or group teacher time? Been just trying to gather some idea of what other schools are doing.
